LG Shine TU-720 Mobile Phone Review

Ladies and Gentlemen it's time to shine! LG has solved the city's nightlife problem of black endless sky by adding a new shining star to their constellation, The Black Label Series. This new phenomenon is the LG Titanium Shine mobile phone.

Forged in titanium metal the Shine is smooth, silky, and lustrous with a glistening mirror screen. Like the LG KU920, Titanium Shine has a sliding-screen that easily pops up to reveal the keypad, the keypad is a little squashed and it is a little tricky pressing the call and hang-up button. This could be because the upper-screen in too thick or the buttons are too high.

The new four-way navigation-wheel is easy and quick to use, and moves gracefully from each application. One push and your at your destination.

Like most phones the volume buttons are on the side yet are awkwardly placed below your normal grip. This is a little annoying when trying to adjust the volume during a phone call, however it's a small annoyance in the long run ¨C and you do get used to it. Also on the side of the phone is a short cut to the camera and a multitasking button. This is becoming a standard these days but is still a great and convenient shortcut if you like using the camera.

The applications are easy to navigate around. Each application menu has tier-based list and the only thing that is a little frustrating is the ever-changing back button. In one application it's on the left the next its not there at all, emulating the twinkle of a star perhaps. In the applications where it's not on the left there is an "option¡± button where you then select "cancel¡±. I think it's just a matter of habituation and then it will become like second-nature.

Like its standout gleam the call quality is brilliant in both standard and speakerphone modes. The Titanium Shines' 2.2 mirror-screen is sharp and bright and gives a very clear display.

The camera produces magnificent pictures and includes auto-focus, a flash and zooms. You can also adjust the light meter and it has a number of settings including black and white among others. Photos look fantastic on the screen shown in full brilliance with a resolution of 1600 x 1200. With this camera you could probably be able to photograph the stars from your city apartment window! There is also a camera on the front for video-calls and if you can bear to see your face in such high-resolution, self-portraits.

When hitting the city club-scene don't forget your Shine because it act's as you own personal D.J., thanks to the amazing MP3 player. The music pulsates from the phone through your body! You can use the Bluetooth 1.2 with A2DP support to stream music to wireless headphones.

Another breakthrough for the Titanium Shine is its new support for Telstra's Next G network, letting this phone to operate 7.2 high-speed downloads packet access 3G functionality.

LG has really proven that the Titanium Shine really is "Born to Shine!" Its sleek titanium body, 2-mega-pixel camera, new navigation wheel and the ability to be connected to the Next G network, the Titanium Shine is radiating off the charts!!
